Lilee Fragrance Studio – Iris Nights EDP I want to share with you some fragrances from the brand new fragrance brand – Lilee Fragrance Studio.   The brand was started by a Facebook friend of mine, Robert Hunt, who I met through an online fragrance group.   Iris Nights (“Iris”) is the first fragrance I’ll be reviewing.   With Iris Nights, the brand introduces the fragrance by setting the scene: “The vision is of a woman of quiet sophistication sitting by the warmth of the fire, sipping fine cognac with aromatic scent of a floral bouquet by her side.”   Iris opens with a soft citrus white floral.   The citrus is present enough to add brightness and elevation to the floral without becoming “fruity” in any way.   The opening floral accord is reminiscent of a bouquet of fresh picked white flowers from the garden.   They are clean and light with just a hint of green freshness.   As Iris wear, I get a soft, powdery iris that comes forward. ...

Arno Soreal Paris Solinotes - Vanille EDP Vanille is an aromatic fragrance created with the purpose of wearing on its own or layered with other Solinotes (or other brand) fragrances to create your own personal combination. Vanille wears in a linear way from beginning to end.   The blend of notes creates a delicious soft, sweet, bakery-like vanilla scent.   There is a tempting sweetness to this vanilla that any gourmand-lover should appreciate.   There is at one time a light powdery feel to the vanilla and at the same time a creaminess.   Vanille feels very much like a hug or snuggle of vanilla.   Vanille wears on me for roughly 5 hours with moderate moving to soft projection. Notes: Vanilla, White Flowers, Tonka Bean, White spices Ingredients:   Alcohol Denat , Aqua , Parfum , Octocrylene, Homosalate, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Tocopherol, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Cinnamyl Alcohol, Ci...

M. Micallef - The Art Collection Vanille:  Vanille Marine In 2012, M. Micallef launched the special edition – The Art Collection Vanille.  The collection is comprised of 4 fragrances each pairing sweet vanilla with another specific note.  Vanille Marine (“Vanille”) pairs vanilla with the aquatic fragrance family and creates an aromatic aquatic that shows the “watery” side of vanilla. Vanille opens with fresh, minerally, fruity floral notes paired with a delicately sweet vanilla.  The fruits are bright and sunny in feel.  The often sharp lemon is tempered with a rich juicy blackberry.  The white flowers are sweetened with a slightly boozy vanilla.  The white florals and vanilla are more present than the fruits.  There is a creaminess to the opening that exists despite the light airiness.  As Vanille wears, there is a beachy feel to the notes.  You can almost feel the salty ocean breeze and the sun shining down.  Ther...

Kat Von D Sinner: (2017). I purchased this oriental floral as a blind buy out of curiosity. If you've seen the new bottles for the 2017 release; they're amazing but I wasn't inclined to go fb on this blind buy. Still, the travel sprays are quite lovely in their own right. I think I expected Sinner to be a much louder fragrance than it is. It is a floral oriental with a moderate projection. The cinnamon, patchouli, and wood notes are the most pronounced while the florals are quite blurred; you really must sniff with concentration to detect one over another. Sinner does seem to be a reasonable representation of an "edgy, unapologetic, and outspoken" woman. It pushes some boundaries yet stops short of being that obnoxious, loud, piece of work that makes you you cringe when you see her. "Kat Von D Beauty’s most requested collection of all time is returning at last and better than ever. Meet Sinner—dark, sultry, and empowering, this enticing fragrance sweeten...

Chanel: Gabrielle I need to admit before I say anything here, I've never been a huge fan of the House of Chanel for fragrance although I do like a few of their offerings. I know, I know, if I said that in person, I'd most likely be run out of town! For, me, most of the Chanel scents have just always been a bit too "biting" for my personal taste. So, I've put my personal prejudice aside to approach this new fragrance with clarity. On me, Gabrielle is a light (for Chanel) and airy floral. I get each of the four main white florals in fairly equal proportions. This feels like a more youthful and playful fragrance than some of Chanel's previous offerings. I believe I read some of you surmising that Chanel was trying to reach out to a new and younger audience. I would agree. This is not our Mother's Chanel. Gabrielle feels very much like a young, free-spirited woman. The juice feels decidedly more feminine than masculine; although personally I feel all fr...
